Land Use and Planning Committee Member

The Land Use and Planning Committee Member is a volunteer who supports the Fairy Lake Association (FLA) in addressing land use, zoning, and planning applications that impact the lake and its surrounding areas. By contributing to the review of development proposals and advocating for sustainable practices, you’ll play an essential role in preserving the health and character of Fairy Lake.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in reviewing building and zoning applications, providing input to ensure they align with the FLA’s environmentally sustainable land development goals.

  • Support communication with the Town of Huntsville and other stakeholders to represent the interests of the FLA community in planning matters.

  • Help gather information on land use issues, contributing insights that inform the committee’s decisions and recommendations.

Time Commitment:

This role typically requires a few hours per month, with flexibility depending on the volume of applications or planning projects under review.
