No expertise is required — just a passion for preserving these iconic birds and their place on our lake.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate effective methods to support loon habitats, such as floating nests or protected nesting areas.
Share information with FLA members about how they can help protect loons, such as reducing disturbances near nesting areas or implementing loon-friendly practices.
Support efforts to track loon nesting and population trends on the lake, providing valuable insights to guide future conservation strategies.
Time Commitment:
This role typically requires a few hours per month, with flexibility depending on the scope of activities and your availability.
