Shoreline Preservation/Restoration Project Lead

The Shoreline Preservation/Restoration Project Lead is an exciting new volunteer role focused on protecting and revitalizing Fairy Lake’s shorelines. Working with the Environment Director, you’ll help identify priority areas, explore conservation strategies, and raise awareness about sustainable practices. As a volunteer, you’ll have the chance to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of Fairy Lake’s shorelines and ensuring their preservation for years to come.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate sensitive shoreline areas that would benefit from preservation or restoration efforts.

  • Explore and propose effective shoreline conservation methods, such as erosion control, natural shoreline planting, and other best practices.

  • Share knowledge and resources with FLA members about sustainable shoreline practices, including reducing erosion, naturalizing shorelines, and minimizing environmental impact.

Time Commitment:

This new role requires a few hours per month, with flexibility based on project needs and your availability.
