Join us as Fairy, Mary, Pen, and Vernon Lakes unite for a first-of-its-kind dock decorating event!

Decorate your dock in patriotic style by noon on Saturday, June 28, 2025 and help turn our lakes into a celebration of Canadian pride, creativity, and community.

Rain Date: Sunday, June 29, 2025

Where: Fairy, Mary, Pen, and Vernon Lakes, plus Muskoka River and Huntsville downtown shoreline

How to Participate: Decorate your dock in celebration of Canada’s beauty, heritage, and northern pride. Whether it’s red-and-white, maple leaves, moose motifs, or twinkling lights, let your creativity shine and show your love for our country.

1. Safety First

  • Use weather-safe and water-resistant decorations that will stay in place once installed.

  • Use caution when navigating the different lakes, and watch for rocks and sandy shores in shallow areas.

  • Follow boating regulations on speed and shoreline distance. Respect all No Wake zones.

  • Keep the decorations on your dock or shoreline while maintaining a functional and safe dock.

2. Keep It Patriotic & Positive

  • Decorations should reflect the “Strong & Free” theme — think Canadian pride, nature, and culture.

  • Keep it family-friendly and inclusive.

3. Respect the Environment

  • Secure all items well to prevent debris or litter.

  • Avoid materials that could blow into the lake or be challenging to retrieve from the water.

  • No fireworks or flammable decorations, please.

4. Be a Good Neighbour

  • Keep noise to a reasonable level during setup, display, and takedown.

  • Communicate with your neighbours and encourage them to join in.

5. Timeline

  • Have your dock decorated by noon on June 28, 2025 (Rain date: June 29)

  • Please plan to remove decorations by dusk on July 1.

6. Optional Fun

  • Snap a photo and send it to info@fairylakeassociation.com. We’d love to showcase everyone’s creativity in a community slideshow or social media post.
