Land Use and Planning Committee Coordinator

The Land Use and Planning Committee Coordinator is a volunteer who helps guide the Fairy Lake Association’s (FLA) efforts to address land use, zoning, and planning applications. As the coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in organizing the committee’s activities, facilitating discussions, and ensuring the group operates effectively to support the preservation and environmentally sustainable development of Fairy Lake and its surroundings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and organize committee meetings and prepare agendas.

  • Oversee the review of building and zoning applications, working with committee members to gather input and prepare recommendations.

  • Act as the main point of contact between the committee, the Board, and external stakeholders such as the Town of Huntsville, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration.

  • Keep the committee informed about relevant land use and planning developments, bylaws, or policies that could impact Fairy Lake.

  • Provide guidance and resources to committee members, helping them contribute effectively to the group’s goals.

Time Commitment:

This role typically requires a few hours per month, with increased activity when significant planning applications arise.
