Lake Cleanup

Dear FLA Members,

The Lake Cleanup, initially scheduled for Saturday, May 24, has been postponed.

Our spring assessment, combined with the limited number of debris reports, indicates that a lake cleanup is not warranted at this time. We’ll continue to monitor conditions and schedule one later in the season if necessary.

We appreciate those who have reported debris. We’ll be in touch directly if any follow-up is needed.

Thanks to everyone doing their part to help care for the lake,

Fairy Lake Association Team

Our primary objective is to remove hazardous items floating in the water. We can only accept debris that poses a current or potential hazard to lake safety, so please keep in mind that this effort isn't for general landscaping or cottage cleanup.

Floating items accepted for drop-off:

  • Natural debris: Fallen trees and logs.

  • Unnatural debris: Plastic, styrofoam, pieces of cribbing, abandoned docks.

Examples of items that will not be accepted:

  • Landscaping waste: Leaves, grass clippings, garden trimmings.

  • Household items: Furniture, personal belongings.

  • Construction materials: Bricks, cement, shingles.

Thank you for cooperating to keep our lake safe and enjoyable for everyone.

To discuss the type of debris you plan to drop off with our Lake Cleanup Project Leader, Mike Henderson, please email springcleanup@fairylakeassociation.com
